Aura peeperkorn Authentic clay basket with lid

Authentic clay basket with lid – approx. Ø33 × H34 cm

This authentic clay basket with lid has a rugged, understated appearance. The combination of visible weaving and a weathered clay layer gives the basket a distinctive surface with plenty of texture and natural color nuances. The underlying weaving shows through in various places. It is precisely this variation that makes it a characterful home accessory.

The round, slightly convex shape and the matching lid form a serene whole. The earthy brown tones pair beautifully with old wood, natural linen, and a lime wall. An atmospheric object for lovers of weathered materials and a country interior.

Visible wattlework and weathered loam

Up close, there is much to discover. The woven bands, irregular clay layer, and worn spots give the basket a unique character. The surface is rough and matte, with lighter and darker areas that emphasize the texture.

An authentic example includes irregularities, wear, and locally missing patches of clay. These features are part of its appearance. Therefore, please also view the detail photos to get a good idea of the finish and condition.

A subtle accent on a cabinet or side table

With a diameter of approximately 33 cm and a height of approximately 34 cm, this clay basket is a nice size for a sideboard, side table, or spacious wall shelf. Place it on its own to let the shape stand out, or combine it with an old wooden bowl and a smaller earthenware pot.

With the lid on, the presentation looks calm and closed. By placing the lid next to it, however, you reveal the weaving along the opening. Combined with other baskets of varying heights, it also creates an atmospheric arrangement.
