Old Authentic Loam/Clay Jug

This old, authentic jug is a special and rare object, crafted from a woven base of reed or bamboo and finished with a layer of loam/clay. The jug features weathered rope details all around, which served to reinforce and support the whole piece.

Originally, this type of jug was used as a storage or transport container for dry goods. Over the years, a beautiful, weathered patina has developed. Cracks, imperfections, and discolorations are visible and emphasize its authentic character.
